Carb solenoid, C3 quadrajet

Hi Guys,
I can't seem to figure out how to power the solenoid on the carb. The car had butchered wiring, so it was not hooked up when I got it. I don't have any indication for it on my schematic, so I'm at a loss.

As Lyle said, it very much year dependant as to what the solenoid is expected to do.

Generally, on non-AC cars the solenoid should get 12V any time the ignition is turned on. This bumps the carb plates open to the idle position.

That's why when you start a new thread, at the top of the page it tells you to include the year.

C3 is so broad (and I dislike the term so much) as to be almost useless in descriptions such as this. Just my $0.02
