    Radiator follow-up question

Thanks for the info Joe. From your description it appears that the radiator support in my car is a big block radiator support. Should the radiator support sit directly on the frame (metal to metal) or is there a rubber cushion or pad that the support should sit on? When I removed the body from the frame on my 66 roadster I carefully bagged all fasteners. The hardware I bagged to bolt the radiator support to the frame included some rubber donut type pads that look very similar to the body mount cushions. Is this correct or did someone just add these later? Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Radiator supports are bolted directly to the frame horns and may sit on several shims welded to the frame. There are no rubber bushings in this area. Sounds like SB radiator mounting cushions that you have.
