My 72 350 base with P/S A/C has the following pulley #346299AM
it seems the groves are spaced a little far apart,is this the correct pulley for this year Vette

No, the GM #346299 pulley is not correct for your 1972 L-48 with A/C application. The GM #346299 pulley was used for, among other GM applications, 1974-77 Corvettes with 350 and A/C as well as most 1978-81 Corvettes.

Your application was originally fitted with pulley GM #3991424. Unfortunately, this pulley has been discontinued for quite some time. It's reproduced by his imperial highness, The Pulley King aka Paul Baker. It costs about $125, though. I don't know if suppliers like Dr. Rebuild carry it, or not.

GM #3991424 is the correct 2 GROOVE pulley, which is the one that I thought you were inquiring about. GM #3991425 is a single groove pulley which was used on the front of the 3991424, usually for the smog pump drive on 71+ engines so-equipped.
