62 tranny ****er spring washer

In the AIM it shows part number 3709568 as a spring washer, more like a bushing that allows the clevis pin to go in smooth to connect the shifter rods with the bracket on the tranny. My dealer cant find that part nummber any more, any ideas on what a new number might be? I tried to find the part at a hardware store but the clevis is 5/16" and they didnt have any that size.

Ask your GM dealer for GM #18060004 and you will have what you seek. Current GM list is $1.76/each.

I have to use "voodoo" and other "occult sciences" to accomplish it. In this case, your local GM dealer wouldn't be able to come up with any supercession. That's because the GM #3709568 was discontinued too long ago (January, 1974, to be exact) and it's long-since out of the system which dealers use. But, it's not out of my system.
