    C-3 1978/79 Breather Filter

Can anyone tell me what the original FB59 filters looked like, color, markings,
AC logo. Trying to find an original.

Dave, this is a good question, but I doubt anyone knows the "real" answer. I probably have over a dozen of these and can find variances in just about every one. Some have the "FB59" in larger characters, some small, some not at all-kinda sounds like Dr. Seuss??? Also, the "new" ones in the blister pack are to much of a "bright white" color. I believe the originals, and the ones correct for judging, are an opaque, off yellow color-kinda like an aged white. The filtering element should also have like a yellow oil wetted look to it-again not "replacement white". Some of these examples will have NO STAPLE, a silver staple or a copper staple. I again, think the copper staple is "correct/original". I'm not exactly sure on the size of the lettering of the "FB59" on what's right OR not right-I don't know if the judging manual covers this or not-I only have the '80-'82 manual. If you have an L-82, do you have the correct/original yellow PCV valve???
