How do you trouble shoot a 69 power window relay

I'm having trouble getting the power windows to work. I have replaced the pw wiring harness with a new one from Eagle wire, Becuase my old harness was a butcher job.My question is how do you tell if the pw relay is working ? Is there a way to bypass it to see if the relay is bad ?
    Thanx Mark

Had the same problem with my '75. Us a blade connector, a 4 ft piece of wire (depending if door or center mount), and an alligator clip. Plug the blade into the front of the fuse block, and clip the alligator clip to the main power wire leading from the switch. This will direct power your switch and help analize where the problem might be.
