    C2 Intake bolts

I have a '66 427/425 HP engine. I need to reinstall the intake manifold bolts.
Is there any order, or permatex stuff (to prevent antifreeze leaks) I need to put on the bolts before I insert them? I understand these need to be tightend to 35 lb's PSI.

    Bob -

Use Permatex thread sealer on them to prevent oil migration through the threads from the lifter valley; the torque spec and sequence are shown in the Chassis Service Manual.

      John,
Thanks for the response. I'll get a tube of that Permetex.

Bob, Per Joe Lucia "All intake manifold bolts which go through to the coolant passages OR the lifter valley area MUST have sealant applied prior to installation. The bolts and bolt holes MUST be scrupulously clean and free from any oil prior to sealant application and bolt installation. I recommend using Lock-Tite Pipe Thread Sealer with Teflon as the sealer used." Suggest you check previous post about this subject. Some others have particlular comments about permatex.

          Ralph,
Point taken. Thanks for more/new info. This sounds much better.
