Hi all!
First of all, as a result of my previous posts, I managed to acquire 4 cans of Deere Blitz Black from another dealer. And I got the Krylon 1613 for the frame. Thanks for the tips.
NOW....
I think I ate 10 pounds of rust, undercoating, grime, and other junk removing, cleaning and restoring the front end of the 63. I guess it will be 10 more when I get to the rear end!!! A-arms are out to be redone. The "JG" indicates the anti-roll bar is semi-gloss black, the steering adjusting sleeves are semi-gloss black, the brake backing plate is semi-gloss black and I am sure other parts will be the same color.....soooooo what modern day paint will be best to use for semi-gloss black? Deere Blitz black? Krylon? DP90 ?
Also, should I coat/paint the "natural" parts with any paint or preservative? (tie rod ends, steering knuckle, springs, etc)
I do not want to do this again so I am trying to do it right the first time. Any tips or other tidbits of info would be greatly appreciated.
11 more days until sunny FLA!!!!!
Thanks in advance for your help
