    1967 Jack/handle

I just called a guy on an ad for a jack and handle. He said that all 63-82s use the same jack and handle. Is this right? Thanks>>

i am not quite sure exactly which years used certain jacks, but they were definitely NOT all the same . Maybe others can shed some light on the specifics of each year.

No, he is not correct. There are differences particularly as you get to C3. Do a search in the archives. 67 jacks did begain to be dated about February 67 I believe.

The man selling the jack is not correct. There are many variations within the years he refers to. For starters, there is a specific style for 1963 thru early 1964, referred to as type I. A second variation was started for mid 64 models thru 66 I believe, known as type II. In '67 date stamping started. Another change in '68 with a completely new style. There is an outstanding article in an old Restorer or on the CD ROM if you have it. Also, there are big differences in prices, with 63-67 being much more expensive than later years.

Dave is right on the money. About the only thing that could be said is from a functional perspective, they would be interchangeable...Craig

'67 handle has 3 holes in handle, 2 across from each other and one in the middle. The jack has 2 thick steel washers with a nylon bearing between them.
