After washing '63 today, I noticed a small streak of carpet glue on my quarter panel. The glue is the type in a can that you brush on and the car's finish is clear coat-base coat. I just finished installing the carpet last week and all went well before this. Any suggestions on removing this small amount of glue without harming a good paint job is appreciated.

Re: Glue Removal
Peter,
Others will surly chime in, but I'd try mineral spirits, nail polish remover, lacquer thinner or "Goo Gone" (or is it "Goo Off"). Bc/cc is very durable, and after curing almost impervious to solvents.

Re: Glue Removal
Use 3M Adhesive remover which can purchased at auto paint supply stores.
It works very well on weatherstrip adhesive and other adhesives and will
not damage the paint. Do not use lacquar thinner as it can soften and
dull even the newer two stage clear coat finishes.- Top
