    C2 Shifter Source

Looking for a good used automatic shifter for my Father-in-Laws 1967 coupe driver. He doesn't want to pay the $320 that it would take to get one from Eckler's etc. Can anybody recommend a source - East Coast preferred but will take wherever? Thanks.

These are fairly rare items. The shifter assembly that you need was only used for 1965 through 1967 and there were not a lot of automatic Corvettes originally built during those years. I think that your father is going to end up paying a pretty step price for one, even if you find one used.

For the best price, you're going to have to check out swap meets or eBay. This could take awhile to find what you need, though. Otherwise, I'd call Pacific Corvette of Puyallup, WA or Contemporary Corvette of Bristol, PA.

      Thanks Joe.

I seem to be doing alot of shifter repairs and replacements lately. We have 6 or 7 corvettes in various states of repair. I will keep looking.
