    C-1 Steering column wiring removal

I'm pulling my steering box and stumped on the steering column wiring. The connectors seem to be permanent with the "spade type" wiring into harness connections. Do I just pull them out? Thanks for any assistance. Don

Pull apart the connection under the dash, then pull the turn signal housing along with the wires out. The wires are old and stiff.

      Don,

If I remember right, On a 61' there are three connectors, (7 wires) Tail light directional, horn, and parking lamps. To remove, insert a small screw diver into the connector to depress the tang and pull the wire. Record the wire locations if you do not have the AIM.

There are three connectrs. The two plastic ones have wires with similar colors on the other end, so rewiring is a snap. The horn connection is by itself, and connects to a brown wire coming from the horn relay.
