I'm doing my first ground up resto on a 63 convertible ( # 8307 Feb 63). According to the Judging manual ( as I read it ) the rear differential and the spindle bearing housings can be natural, or the whole rear assembly could be black.
My spindle bearing housings are still unpainted, but unfortunately the shop that rebuilt my rear differential painted it black ( without asking me first ).
Any input as to the "more correct" way to go. Paint it all black or strip the paint off the rear ?
Also, any recommendations on a semi-gloss light gray paint for the rear leaf spring.
