Corvette Body Shop in N.J.: info wanted

    Gentlemen,
Does anyone remember or know of a body shop specializing in Corvette repair in So. Orange, NJ from the 1980 time frame named Battaglia's? I have a car I think may have been painted there and I'd like to track down some history.
Any help would be appreciated very much.
    regards,
    Verne.

Does anyone know of a source for the old style Lucas Flamethrowers? I saw a web page on Penske's #10 wherein somebody who claimed to know every minute detail of the restoration claimed he built the special hood on the car. I emailed him months ago re the Lucas lamps under the plexi covers. He apparently didn't know about that detail as I received no reply. I need bulbs for mine and can't locate a source for the small diameter lamps that fit the C2 buckets. Thanks

Sorry about this post. Your question reminded me of my earlier search as I believe the resto shop was in NJ or environs.

I do remember this shop. My cousin was a buddy of his. I almost bought a 62 from him in '71. He had refinished the car a dark blue for his wife but she didn't like the car so he wanted to sell it. I did buy a '66 he rcommended from a used car lot about 2 blocks away that he did prep work for.
I did not have much contact with him after that. I do recall that he had a good reputation in the area for Corvette collision repair.

Thank you Chris. I wouldn't want to put you to any trouble, buuuuuuuuut, is it possible for you to contact your cousin and ask if he might know how to contact Battaglia?
          Thanks again.
          Verne.

I'll try to get in touch with my cousin. I don't know though, that was a LONG time ago!

Chris, I really would appreciate it very much. I am trying to fill in some history of this car. If there's a way to contact Battaglia, I might be able to find out when it was painted, and what it involved. The trim on the car is like NOS. It's a one owner with 30Kmi but wasn't driven after '85.
              thanks again
              Verne.
