Original 68 (and other years from 59 up) had a tear out card to begin your Corvette News subscription and recieve your owners kit. Some of the Helm reissue manualS lacked the card.

thanks dave. i didn't know if corvette news existed in 68 or not. i found a 68 owners manual that didn't say "2nd edition" inside the cover as most reprodutcion ones do, but i wasn't sure if it was an original or not. there was no card or remnants of a card inside though.

My original 68 owners manual of a Feb built car has "First Edition August, 1967" and is part no. 3927527. In the back, the 68 service manual could be bought for $4.50 and additional owner manuals for $0.60 from Helm Inc.

The tear off to send in for the Corvette owners card and to subscribe to Corvette News is a perferated tear off and a different texture of paper form the owner manuals pages.
