I have a 66 big block coupe which is being restored and would like to put on an after market air conditioner. Does anyone have any recommendations for a vendor? I would like a system which does not "hang down" from the inside dash, but looks like it "fits" both under the hood and inside. Also are there any special recommendations for insulating the inside in order for the air conditioner to work better?

Re: 66 Vette Air Conditioner Recommendations
There is a company out of San Antonio, Vintage Air, that puts in a new air conditioning system in your car. They claim that they can put an a/c system in your car and not have to modify or destroy anything original to make this work. I have seen one mid-year with this system in it. It looked good from a functional standpoint. Obviously, nothing you can do to this would make it look original, but aparently it works. There number is 800-862-6658. Web site is:
