    Distributor Cap

    Hi,

I have found an old, I believe D-308 distributor cap and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what years it was used and for what applications. It is the brown phenolic type with just Delco/Remy and Patent Pending on the top with no 'R'. I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you!!

    Thanks,

    Re: Distributor Cap

    Daniel,
The brown caps are D-309. The application for a D-309 cap w/ Patent Pending, No R would be L-88, L-89 cars made in 1967 or earlier for sure, and most likely those same high performance options in 68 and 69 as the R caps were not introduced until the end of 1969.
