I just removed that part number from my 66 L72,preparing for the engine pull of the NOM 68 435 block and heads. I know it is not the correct 480 water pump pulley, I have already purchased a used original, but this pulley does line up correctly...offset appears correct for a BB short leg pump. It has narrow belt grooves, and the flange mount area is drilled for the early spacing of the water pump mount studs. It also has the GM logo in the old style font, and the pulley OD is 6 7/32 or so, just a tad under 6.25". What is this pulley for? I am hoping Joe or someone has a listing of what this pulley is, and if it is for a Corvette or not...thx!....Craig

The application for the GM #3876846 pulley was 1965 and 1966 Chevrolet full size passenger cars with automatic transmission, air conditioning and 396 or 427 engines. I would expect this pulley to be very similar to the Corvette pulley since the passenger car application and Corvette both used the same water pump for 65 and 66.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -
