alternator placement C2

With the small block 327, is the alternator position differant between 1965 and 1966? Is the alternator on 65's on the right and the 66 on the left? Looking at the resto tech guide 63-67, and I'm not quite sure. Thanks, Ray

As far as small blocks go, for 1965 Corvettes all alternators were mounted on the right side, EXCEPT for those cars with A/C. For A/C small blocks, they were mounted on the left side.

For 1966 Corvette small blocks, alternators were all mounted on the left side.

All 1965-74 big blocks had the alternators mounted on the left side.
