1966 non sidepipe cars have a bracket (center exhaust hanger) mounted between the transmission mount and transmission to support the under car exhaust system. Does the sidepipe car then have factory installed spacers (thick washers) in place of that bracket to keep the same driveline geometry ?

Dave
Thank you for your response. I tried to find this detail in the AIM in both the undercar and sidepipe exhaust sections as as rear trans mount section but could not find any mention of this. Did I overlook this or is reference made to this detail in some other area or source?- Top

Re: 66 Sidepipe Trans Mount Spacers
Peter -- believe it was only factory install for the '69 model year. Most aftermarket parts catalogues list it for ALL side exhaust cars. My preference (at least for a driver) is to install one for the geometry reasons you mention.- Top
