Hagerty Insurance in Florida

Anyone have experience with this company in Florida??? I have been told by the DMV in Florida that residents must have "Florida" insurance and that a policy written in Arizona is not good in Florida. Does Hagerty write in Florida??? Thanks for all responces and a Happy Holiday to all and a Better New Year.

I think you'll find that Hagerty is an insurance AGENCY, they serve as a medium between you and the insurance company. For example, I bought my Corvette insurance from Hagerty but they got it from Fidelity Casualty Ins Co of NY, one of several they represent. As near as I know, they'll sell you a policy in any state and make sure that the states requirements are met.

Bill, I moved to Florida from Michigan a year ago and transferred my insurance with Hagerty down here on a 62 and 82. Have had no problem at all, and there is Florida specific underwriting material included with my policy. It has been accepted by the DMV for registration purposes. I have had no claim experience yet.Chuck
