C1 Windshield Wiper Blades

Chevrolet currently offers windshield wiper blades for 53-62 Corvettes under p/n 12398106. List is $18.21. Wholesale is $13.66. I don't know if this price is each or a pair.

I see NOS windshield wiper blades going for a small fortune on EBay. I know there's no accounting for the stupidity of some EBay buyers. But what's the difference between NOS and the blades currently offered. And the big question, how close is what's currently offered by GM to the original?

If you want correct C1 wiper blades and holders you will have to join the "stupid" club. They are rare and difficult to find in "correct" configuration. The current GM replacements are not even close to correct but maybe the smart C1 guys will buy them and take the judging point hit.

Chris ! the original blades have a 100 dots or so with the word Trico on the S/S retanier , but the big thing is that they have rubber tips at each end that keep the wipers from marking the windshield.I like the rubber tips for protection, soooooo I belong to the STUPID club.

Some were around $50.00 up to stupit speed!

I bought an NOS pair off of Ebay last spring for $40.00 and they were still in the correct boxes all in mint condition. So.....it really doesn't cost that much to join the "stupid club" and you are correct!! Now....the correct wiper arms are a bit more to join the club with a pair running about $100 to $150. Good luck.
