67 TR-POWER ACCEL ROD PLATING

Before I discard my "cadmium" plated accelerator rod in favor of a "cadmium dichromate" plated rod, I would like to confirm the correct plating(per judging standards). I saw a "gold" colored rod available in the Long Island catalogue.
I don't know if other vendors offer one with that plating. Thanks

The rod between the accelerator lever and carb is indeed supposed to be a yellow chromate. Before you throw away your existing rod, have it replated. Yellow chromate is just a zinc plating with a short 20-30 second bath in yellow chromate solution. Caswell sells a kit to do just that, or take it along with a pile of other things to a plater.
