C2 Rear Bumper

Where is the best source for a replacement rear bumper ? I understand many of the reproductions offered are not exact. Is there an exact source ? For example, Paragon offers GM licensed reproduction, is this the best way to go. By the way, this is just in case my current bumper can not be properly straightened as it has a twist and a dip that may be quite tough to repair.

Mike - I would suggest you purchase a good condition used bumper - you can find them from excellent originals to cores for replating. Hemmings, Driveline ebay, Corvette Forum are are just some of the sources.

If at all possible stay with your original bumpers. My 67 bumpers were rusted to bad for repair. Bumpers from Corvette Central wouldn't fit. Paragon worked with me to get a good fit by locating brackets etc to match the holes in my car body.
