    1967 L89 Aluminum Cylinder Heads

Did GM manufacture a variety of different Big Block aluminum heads in 1967?

If others exist, what features and or numbers distinctly identify 1967 Corvette aluminum L89 heads? How many of these heads are out there? Were service components built?

    Thanks,

    Don Walker

Casting # 3904392, dated as per usual GM practice, which should catch service units, (although they are externally identical) also used on Chevelle in limited applications more heads are out there than cars built with them due to the quantities sold for racing applications, which were then replaced for most racing applications by the open chamber versions when they became available.
