CE 68 vs 69 weather stripping

    C3 weather stripping

Is there a difference in 69 vs 68 weatherstripping?

    Thanks for the help.

    Keith-----

Well, there is quite a bit of weatherstripping used on a 68 and 69 Corvette and some weatherstripping varies by body style (i.e. coupe or convertible). Much of the 68-69 weatherstripping is the same, but some pieces are different. So, it really depends upon which piece(s) that you are talking about.

      Joe,

That would help. I will adjust my questions to provide more specific details. It sure would be easier to get the answer I want.

      Coupes. T-tops and doors.

      Thanks

The 68 and 69 T-Top weatherstrip is the same for both years and is different from later years.

The 68 and 69 ON-DOOR weatherstrips are different for each year. The door pillar post ON-BODY weatherstripping is the same for 1968 and "early" 1969. Later 1969 and later model year pillar post weatherstripping is different.

Also, the door glass (rear of door windows -- on car) weatherstripping is different in 69, early, mid, and late production.

sounds like I should purchase a 68 weather stripping kit. I was hoping to get away with a 69 kit for cheap.

            Thanks.

Call Doc Rebuild, he sells them fairly cheap.
