Here's a Help Desk Knowledge Base article that anyone who's using Internet Explorer 11, 10 & 9 should read about using "compatibility view" mode for the NCRS Technical Discussion Board forum.

Chrome and FireFox browser are alternative browsers that should be used if there are problems with Internet Explorer.

..... Additionally, I used to have a significant "collection" of photos that were added over the years to the database. They disappeared last week. Just thought I'd let you know, if that will help in trying to determine a cure. I'm using Windows 7 & 8; 2 different computers, both with the same result. Good luck.

Stephen -- I too have over 1800 photos on the system which I would like to access and use for any current related threads.

Gary C. has shown me how to access them; "User Profile/Miscellaneous/Attachments". Go to the bottom of the first page and click on "show thumbnails". Now there must be some way to copy those photos and import into a current post, but I haven't figured it out. You'll notice that there's a click box at the right margin of each photo/post. If you click for the check mark, you then have only one option (again at the page bottom) which is to delete. I would have thought there'd be a menu of choices, one being to export (a copy) elsewhere.

Seems these problems are due to the migration from the old server to the new.

Wayne, I've seen that page before. I just went there and the thumbnails are still present on the NCRS database, after doing as you suggested. That is great news. The thumbnails just don't show up anymore when I go to the Manage attachments pages. I believe Gary Chesnut and company, is still working on the problem and we just need to be patient. Steve

Guys,

Hopefully, the problems with Internet Explorer and FireFox photo upload and previous uploaded photo icons not displaying in Attachment Manager are resolved.

The three of us collectively spent almost 4 days trying to find a solution. As the year goes on problems could crop up as browsers are updated and this version of vBulletin NCRS ages. This vBulletin version is not well supported by the software vendor Internet Brands. Which means at some point in the not to distant future NCRS will have to move to another forum software platform.

Gary and team, THANKS for the labor and DEDICATION in resolving this problem. I think I can speak for the FORUM users that we all appreciate it. Steve
