Re: membership renewal
Al,
I am very curious about your issue typing on our site. This is the first time I have ever heard anyone bring this issue up.
What kind of problem do you have? You say all of the characters don't appear when you type? Aside from my own typo's I have never experienced this kind of an issue with this or any other site. I have experienced the issue with others computers who used wireless keyboards that were in need of a battery replacement but that is the only time I have seen this happen.
Are you using a PC, MAC, Phone, or Tablet. If Phone or Tablet what kind? What Browser, IE, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, or other?
Try typing your message in Notepad on your computer, then select the entire message and copy it to the clipboard by pressing CTRL-C. Come to the TDB and paste your message in the reply box by pressing CTRL-V. Does all of the message transfer? Do you have any characters that don't show up in Notepad?Administrator

Re: membership renewal
John, I'm using a PC IE and chrome. Sometimes, when the letter is pressed, it may take 2 efforts to get it to show in the word. It does better if you take approx. 5-7 seconds between letters. You can't type normally when this occurs, and you have to look at every letter to ensure it's there. Right now, everything is going normal. Not computer literate enough to do what you suggested above. It doesn't happen every time I try to respond, but it's close here lately in the last few months. Thanks for responding and any suggestions. Al- Top

Re: membership renewal
Go to Start and then Open Notepad. This is a simple word processing program that is built into windows. Try typing in that program. If you get the same results you have an issue with your keyboard. If you have a wireless keyboard I would recommend new batteries If you don't have a wireless keyboard you may need to replace the one you have.Administrator

Re: membership renewal
Al,
I am at a loss as to what the problem might be. I am just now running a test to confirm what I thought. When I am typing this reply I am not interacting with the Technical Discussion Board or the ncrs server at all. Everything that I am typing is on my local machine until I click on the Post Quick Reply button.
The only thing I can think of would be some type of Key Logger that would not interact with Notepad since it would be looking for entries to login information for your bank or other information they can steal.
I would suggest that you download and run MalwareBytes to see if there is something malicious running on your PC that could be causing the issue. I run MalwareBytes to clean infected computers and to protect my own system from rouge software attacking my system.
Let me know if MalwareBytes finds anything significant.Administrator
