Does this forum support uploading pictures from an iphone , ipad or any other type of smart phone or tablet? Or do I have to use a standard computer?

Re: Posting pics
I went to manage attachments
There are different icons on the top
I clicked on the one that looks like a picture frame
And it opened a drop down menu on the page
I selected my computer and it opened up another mini window
And I chose the appropriate file click upload and picture was uploaded
Hope this helps- Top

Re: Posting pics
Anthony,
Thanks for sharing the steps with the members.
FYI - when posting a photo, click the "return key" and put the cursor at the start of the next line.
Otherwise the photo will appear where the cursor was after the end of the text.

Re: Posting pics
Ronald,
Questions:
1) what Internet browser are you using?
2) have you read the FAQ's on posting photos?

Re: Posting pics
Gary Firefox 3.6 for Mac OS 10.4.
Back at the change, yes, nothing worked.
I can browse, select photos, one or two, probably more, but it will not upload them. Error is a red exclamation point on a 21kb picture size. It does nothing at that point, you can only clear the list ans start over.
There are other forms in advanced, same thing, select but it will not add them to the library.- Top

Re: Posting pics
Ronald,
Did you try the "Basic Uploader" function? Believe it's covered in the Photo Posting FAQ's.
Suspect it's a cookie or browsing history FireFox related issue.
You can clear cache, browsing history and cookies from day 1 and try again.

Re: Posting pics
Basic uploader also fails.
Cookie are not a problem, can access c cards, banks, etc. Cookies/ history deleted on closing browser, that has never been a problem either.
Click on icon above, insert image, default is from computer, select image, click 'upload, it goes up, image size 29kb, and then the red circle appears.
Tell me what the red circle is...- Top

Re: Posting pics
Ronald,
Red circle with an exclamation point means the upload failed.
Cache/cookies/browsing history for the NCRS site are probably the problem. You can clear all or just for the NCRS site. Your call.

Re: Posting pics
AC RC15 together.jpg
So, this was partial success, sometimes, not all the time the Basic uploader shows with an underline so that it appears as a clickable link. This time it did and then after selecting a picture, the part that does not look like a clickable link, I clicked and the picture is now attached.- Top

Re: Posting pics
Ron
I have also had trouble loading in images using the image uploader. But I just did it as you did. I clicked the picture frame icon above, and then clicked basic uploader in lower right corner of the box. Then I clicked browse button, and selected image. Then I hit upload files beneath the browse box. The upload files did not appear to be a function key but I surmised it must be as there is no other function key in the box. Then I waited quite a while like 20-30 seconds while it said "contacting ncrs". Then the image appeared in my post, just as your cap has above. I think we are both golden now.
ps. I cleared nothing prior to successful upload. I am using MAC OS X and Firefox 17.1.6

I just tried it again using the normal upload box without going to the basic uploader feature. Should have worked fine, but did not. I got the uplaod failed red exclamation mark.
hummm. Something is bad order.- Top
