Log Out on exit every time

I keep Remember Me checked when I log on (always have) - No problems until now. Log on is ok and I check the remember box. If I exit the site and return it has me logged out. i.e. the remember me isn't remembering. Using Safari (iMac), no problems until this afternoon. Some other folks are commenting on the tech board of the same problem. Seems like that thread should be on DB Help. Thanks


addendum: Also does the same thing on my Windows 7 HP laptop using either Internet Explorer (64 bit) or Chrome.

Security of the NCRS website and protection of user passwords is paramount for the NCRS IT Team.

Security enhancements are continually being made to the NCRS website and services. It's a lot of work to try to stay ahead of the hackers.

Hacking attempts to the NCRS website occur constantly every day. The hackers are trying everything including capturing the various URL's and member's cookies.

Since the mid May hacking the IT Team has implemented encryption to the various elements that a hacker could access including members cookies.

Most members use the same password for access not only to the NCRS website services but most likely for banking, PayPal, etc. We don't want member's passwords stolen like they were from LinkedIn last week.

For some reason there was a minor unforeseen glitch not found during testing and it's been resolved.

You will initially have to login to set the NCRS cookie. Automatic login works following these login/logout steps:
1. Login to www.forums.ncrs.org/
2. click the "Remember Me" check box (added - forgot to include this step)
3. When exiting, do not log out. Close the tab window. Then close the browser (may not have to close the browser, but it's the way to test the cookie retention).
4. Open browser and go to www.forums.ncrs.org/
5. Automatically logged in.

These steps work on IE8, IE9, FireFox, Chrome and Safari browsers.
