Three letter search terms

When searching, terms with 3 or less letters are commonly ignored. Why can't I use 2 and three letter search terms? I understand that this could create a large number of results but if you can combine small letter search terms, it should narrow down the results to a manageable number. So many of the things I try to search on are 3 letter or less terms. For example today I wanted to search on 66 gas cap, but it does not work. I think we could reduce the number of repeat questions if we allow more granularity in the search. It is often hard to find a way to search what you are looking for so we just ask the question again. Is there any way we can support forced multiple and small search terms?

Please read the FAQ section on searches. It not only explains why, it shows you work arounds that will satisfy any search you need to do.
