On one of the recent threads someone asked me how did I insert that link into the post. I replied with this. Not sure if it's documented but wanted to put it here for others to use too......

Procedure for Creating Links in Your Posts
Here's a procedure of the process.....Kinda' detailed so you should be able to follow it and be successful. Try it in the TEST FORUM section of the Home page.
1- Bring up the page with what you want to link, i.e. TDB thread, Ebay listing, CF thread, etc.
2- In the bar up top in your browser, it will have the full URL of the page. For example this thread is this URL:
https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthread.php?t=82444
3- Put your cursor in the bar and quickly click 3 times. This will "highlight" the URL, typically turning all of it the color blue.
4- On the keyboard, hold the CTRL key down, and while it's down hit the letter "c". This copies that "blue" string of text into a storage buffer.
5- Now go to your window that you type your post into.
6- In your text, type something to call your link. Like the word "THIS".
7- Now put your cursor left of the letter "T", hold the left button of the mouse there and drag to the right until all 4 letters, THIS are blue.
8- Above the post in the gray bar are all those symbols. Click on the blue globe with the eyeglasses, this is the "LINK" function. It'll open a mini window. Don't worry about the blue http:// text in there, it'll get overwritten in the next step.
9 - On the keyboard, hold the CTRL key down, and while it's down hit the letter "v". This pastes that "blue" string of text for the long URL into the field.
10- Click "DONE".
11- The word "THIS" in your post will now be blue and it will be the link to the webpage for all to Click on and View. It won't work until you Preview or Submit it. I usually Preview and click the link I made to make sure I didn't screw it up before I Submit. It should open in a new window or tab.

edit.....If you just want to put the actual full URL link in your post without creating a blue "word" to hold it, skip steps 6 & 7 and continue to step 8. Just make sure you place your cursor in the right place in your post where you want the link string of text to be. I usually hit a few "Enter" keys so it starts at a clean line. Also note at the bottom of your post entry box, there is a button stating "Automatically Parse Links....". Click this button on and when you submit the post it will abbreviate the link. This is handy on very long link URLs so it doesn't take up lots of space in the post.
