The common thread here is Firefox browser.

Firefox recently updated from 3 to 3.6 and then this did start happening. One really interested might check at the Mozilla forums, it seems security related.

I use Firefox, but don't use the automatic login feature since I from time to time need to log in with other users accounts to test things.

well, I still have done NOTHING on my end - but now I do NOT have to login! so, you tell me it was not something with the TDB!?

There has been no change on this end. Sounds like your cookie has gotten rewritten and now decided to work for awhile.

Cookies are great things when they work but are not reliable for the long term. With Internet Security software always wanting to delete them and apparently other problems.

That is why I always ask people to write down their Username and Password for WHEN their cookie fails them.
