Driveline ad lists member #7070 with an Ohio area code. Checked member list and no such member exists. Actually 27070 comes up when 7070 is entered. Tried a leading zero 07070 and no such member is listed.

Scanned all the Ohio members and did not see 7070, perhaps I missed it.

Would be nice to accomodate driveline ads where just the member # is given with the abiolity to search on member #.

does #7070 exist?

If a search is done using the TDB registered members list you will locate only those members who have chosen to register for TDB access. This represents about one third of all active NCRS members. Checking the NCRS national membership database does indeed show a current Ohio member #7070 but he has yet to register for the TDB. Regards,

That was what I thought Joe might have done, but I was looking for confirmation from him. I know that only a limited number of people have access to the entire membership list, but I am not sure that Joe is not a chapter officer with access to ensure chapter members are also National members.

I have access to that database and have a name, so yes he exists.

Searched, "members' list" in the header.

Used advanced search to select all members from Ohio, the area code listed in the ad.

Wonder why #27070 came up when I searched on 7070. I know why, technically, but that logic doesn't seem appropriate in this case. Just a thought.

Before the driveline went on-line I thought the members list included all members?

never has and probably never will - only about a 1/4 of the membership is actually a "member of the TDB"
