Hi my name is David Virgin. I just renewed my membership recently after a lapse/hiatus (shame on me). I'm surfing the forum for the 1st time today. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there appears to be only 4 sub-forums: Tech. Diss., Diss. Board Help, Tech. Diss. Archives & Test Forum. I don't see any sub-forums where members can socialize with one another on line or discuss non-technical issues & matters of interest concerning shows, cruise, gatherings or other matters of interest to vette owners/enthusiasts. If I'm correct, why or why not? Thank You.

The DB function has grown and evolved over time at NCRS. The web site's facilities are MUCH better today than they were even back a few years ago!
I think you'll find there IS some 'chat' here, but it at least has a basis in NCRS-dom (various club activities, sentiment about this/that restoration topic, Etc.).
However, there is a page storage/maintenance cost associated with the site that accures to NCRS overhead. So, the site's primary focus is on our sport/hobby vs. 'off-the-wall' issues like today's politics, Etc.
BTW, WELCOME BACK!!!- Top

Thanks for the feedback Jack. You are right about avoiding the pitfalls of poltical disscussions which can be hazardous to say the least & quite frankly a PITA for forum mods /admins. BTW I have owned my 57 since 8/90 & my 58 since 4/09. They are by no means up to NCRS standards but I have thoroughly enjoyed driving them & SLOWLY buying & collecting correct pieces to "restore" them. I have the complete documented ownership history for my 57 which I obtained by title search thru various states. I have the original docs when it was sold to the original owner in NC on 7-31-57 which yielded the original stamp # on the orig. block giving me invaluable info. on the orig. drive train in my 57. Thanks again Jack. David EDIT: I just found a thread in the Tech. Diss. re the Lone Star Regional which was more of a chatting/socializing thread so that kinda of lets me know that, that sort of thing is evidently OK in the Tech. Diss. Forum within of course I'm sure certain parameters.Last edited by David V.; October 23, 2009, 07:43 PM.- Top

If you have questions on the club itself you should direct these towards your chapter if they are chapter related or your regional director if they are about the NCRS mother organization (see contact page for their contact information).
For sale and wanted ads are forbidden (please use the Driveline for this).
