    attaching photo

I uploaded the picture using browse from my computer and it says it is already attached but does not show on the post. When I try again it tells me it is already attached. I attached this photo in the test forum May of 2008. I think it sees it there and tells me that it is already attached in error on a new messeage in the technical forum.

Does any of this make sense?

    Erv,

You can only attach a picture one time. The server recognizes the file name as being the same.

Two ways to get around this.

Preferred method is to go back to the test post that you made, right click on the photo. Select "Copy Image Location" from the menu that appears.

Next go to where you would like to post that picture again and start a new message. Find where in the post you would like for the picture to appear and press CTRL c to paste the location into the post. The picture will now show up on the new post without saving it twice on the server.

The less preferred method would be to rename the photo's file name. This would just create a duplicate photo being stored on the server using more space than is necessary.
