Roy, moved your post from the Technical forum to the Help forum which is for "how to" questions. Yes, if you use a photo hosting service such as photobucket they'll get deleted here when you delete them at photobucket. That's why everyone's encouraged to post the photos here so they will be archived in the NCRS forum. Gary....

Roy, "here" means they will not show up in the NCRS Technical Discussion Board forum any longer if they're deleted from photobucket. Gary....

Is there a way to post the picture to the TDB so it shows up big? When I upload the pics to the TDB they show up as little thuimbnails. No big deal, but doesn't look as nice as people that have them hosted. But I agree we should upload them to the TDB so we have them for posterity.

            Ian,

The little picture that you see is a thumbnail of what you have uploaded. It helps the board and the threads to load faster. If someone is interested in the thumbnail all they need to do is click on the thumbnail and it will open in a full window. Attached photo is just a shot of a nice '63 from our last chapter meet. Click on the thumbnail to open it in a full page of it's own.

So this site prefers the thumbnail vs a full size picture? The reason I ask is because I'm planning to post some pics in the future. Thanks
              DAN

                Dan,

I am not sure you could say the site prefers the thumbnail.

When you upload your full sized photo the software running our site will resize the photo if it is larger than 800 x 600 px, I believe if memory serves me. It will store this full sized picture, but will also create a thumbnail of it to include in the post.

This gives the site a faster response time for the users. If they are interested in viewing the full size picture they only have to double click on it to pull up the 800 x 600 px version.
