    Picture posting help

Ok, not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I wanted to post four pictures. Studied the FAQ and I am no smarter than before. I wanted to show the pics of my "bucket project". I have them in my Kodak Easy Share. Easy my foot!

    David,

Go down and click the Manage Attachments button. Click Choose File when the window comes up and go to whatever drive your camera shows up as on your computer. Then click Upload. Upload sometimes takes a while.

Ok, I believe I have it now. Not a show car, but a driver. I will attempt to post a few other pictures as well. I see I am about to exceed the file size. I hope they are not to large.

Bob, I don't have one of them thar "Manage Attachment" button's. Is it something special you have to do or someone you must know/contact to get that added? I guess I'm in that same drawer with David.

            Thanks,
            David

              Re: Picture posting help

Now I will try a few more pics. I am sure you can see the details that are not to the JG. If you can't, I know what they are. It is an original motor car, not just matching numbers. I did go through the motor this winter and it is all new inside, but to original spec. I have been concerned with overheating because of the guage, but I am sure it is the sending unit. But it has never burped through the overflow or even burnt the paint on the intake. I just now took these pictures and the speedo is showing near 200 miles on this engine rebuild. Yes, I know the valve covers are wrong, I just like them. I do have the originals and they are ready to be put on. The windwings were my addition, sort of. The holes had been drilled by the 1st owner and I decided to fill them with the windwing mounts. The chrome on the car is original. I couldn't bring myself to replate it, if I am driving it.

David, when you make a post page on downward after entering your text and there will be the "Manage Attachments" bar under the "Additional Options" section. Click on that to upload your photos. Gary....

I don't know about you but I gave up on posting pictures. Figured it was just something I wasn't suppose to do. Thanks for all the help guys. Now I've got to figure out how to make the pictures smaller.

Gary -- I can see why many miss this part of the post screen; heck,I have my monitor set to "portrait" mode, and it still took me an accidental cat-walk-on-the-keyboard to find it .

But here's another for you. Most of my pics are taken at 2.3 megabytes or thereabouts. I re-size in Windows to the box that claims suitable for a 1024 x 1280 native pixels. Result is a file size usually around 100-140 kb, or well within the upper limits (293kb ?) of NCRS posting rules for jpegs.
But when I check what was finally accepted, I notice that the file size has AGAIN been reduced, sometimes to the 80kb range. What's up with this ? I obviously want to fully use the maximum resolution for picture clarity and zoom potential.

Any thoughts on how to get back up to the DB upper limit ?
