Automatic Picture Resizing!!!

All,

Good news: I've just enlarged the maximum picture upload size to 300k for compressed images and now it does do the automatic resizing (it was constantly hitting the maximum boundary of 100k and therefor couldn't do the automatic resizing). It should now automatically resize your uploaded hi-res images back into 800x600 pixel images.

You still might want to crop you hi-res images to show only the detail you want to highlight since a resize also reduces the size of a small detail in a bigger sized picture making it harder to study.

Rob -- that's good news. Haven't tried it yet, but does it also not OVER-resize (ie. penalize) native pics in the "portrait" mode (ie 600h x 800v). I always try to shoot portrait as it requires little or no horizontal scrolling, yet you can still offer higher resolution on the Tech Board posting.

Seems to have worked fine; I just posted 2 photos that were taken at a larger size than the prescribed and they posted just fine.
