    Edit function

Can the duration of the active edit function be increased? I often go back and read my posts hours of even a day plus later and sometimes find errors or ambiguities that I like to correct, but it seems that the edit function goes away after a few hours.

Yes, it can be increased. I use the same software on a different site and I can edit a post forever.

Try a HELPDESK ticket or have your Region Director bring it up as a topic at the next National Board Meeting.

All, John eliminated that restriction via requests to do so in our earlier site software, but it appears it's gone back to a limited time again. I didn't know that. It must be a vBulletin Default.

Back in 2022 it was changed to "forever".

I'm sure we can get it changed again like before.

I'll create a Helpdesk Ticket myself. (Edit.... Just did a Ticket, but unsure when it'll be done. The IT folks are VERY busy). I'll let you know when it happens.

The previous version of the forum had a setting for how long users could edit a post. This version only has this setting:

"This is the number of minutes that a user has to edit his post without the Edited by xxx message being appended at the bottom of an edited message." It is set to 30. This would suggest that after the 30 minutes you could still edit the post but it will show that it has been edited.

There is a newer update of the forum available and we are testing it before upgrading. Hopefully the new version will fix some of the issues we have found in this version.

No definite timeframe on doing the upgrade.
