How about email in addition for PM?

I don't care for private messages because I don't like multiple messages databases. I'm fine with email, so can the TDB be modified to allow emails to be sent between members like on the Corvette Forum?

Over there you can choose to accept email or not, and sending an email doesn't actually reveal your email address to the sender. So if I want to send an email to another member I just click "send email" instead of PM. This doesn't reveal my email address, but the recipient gets my address, and he can choose to respond via conventional email or not.

If he does respond then everything is in my conventional email database.

After reading your thread here, I now just realized this new forum doesn't have "email" as a option. The prior version here had the email option. I'm surprised.

I dislike PM's as well. I prefer emails to avoid the cumbersome PM process. Plus when sending a PM, if you want to review what you sent you have to go back into the forum "Sent" folder to see what you wrote.

When I send emails ,I always "BCC" myself so I have a copy directly in my Inbox.

I'm hoping it can be implemented in this new version also. If it's just a easy button click, then maybe it can be implemented easily. If not, then it could be a while.

I know the IT staff is overwhelmed, but I suggest you create a Help Desk ticket with the suggestion.

That would be correct. It is not a feature to turn on or off. It just doesn't exist.
