Media type not supported on 56-57 DVD

Trying to open 56-57 Restorer DVD using external hard drive with Mac mini.
Comes close by several methods, but immediately reverts to "Media type
not supported" Any ideas? One step above Computer Novice, Earle Hapke

Earle- I honestly know nothing about a Mac mini... but I'm guessing you have a web browser installed (like Safari or Chrome - unless you are posting here from another computer or cell phone). I believe the files on the Restorer DVD are PDF's... and fortunately, many of the newer web browsers can open/read those files.

Launch your web browser. Next, for a Mac, I believe the command to OPEN a file is 'COMMAND + O' (push down BOTH keys at the same time, then release). A dialogue box should appear/pop up... you'll now need to search for your external hard drive. Once found, click on the Restorer DVD... and then look for/open the PDF file.

As an alternative, you might be able to install the FREE 'Acrobat Reader' on your computer... just do a web search.

Thanks Jack - I got in . Took about three minutes to open. Not a problem. In the meantime,
I downloaded entire new operating system (Catalina) and something called "PDF Reader"
none of which matters since I am now able to open. Thanks for the leads. E.H.

Earle- Glad to hear you were able to access the DVD. Even still, check out your new PDF Reader... then decide which option works best for you. See which application is easier for zooming (in-or-out), moving around, and using the SEARCH function (to me, the most important feature).
