NCRS Scholarships - Quick Question

Folks:

Our family checked out the blurb regarding NCRS Scholarships and it was unclear how and/or when a student applied for them. Any guidance on how to do so would be appreciated. Our middle son is a High School Senior; a great kid; a Corvette guy; and a sharp cookie (e.g., 3.7 GPA at a tough school, high SAT scores - near perfect score in math, a track guy and an Eagle Scout) and wants to study Mechanical Engineering. Probably a long shot to get one of the NCRS Schpoalrships, yet, we wanted to submit one for next year if it wasn't too late to do so. Best, Ned and Family

The applications were in both the May/June and July/August NCRS Driveline, and were to be postmarked between June 1 and August 10th. Seems as though you are too late for this year, but watch for the applications next year. You can see the applications in the online version of the Driveline, a link can be found at the top of this page. They appear on pages 10-13 in the July/Aug issue and pages 6-9 in the May/June issue.

You can go to the http://www.ncrsfoundation.org site for complete information. Sound like your son might be a good candidate. Joan has a panel of teachers who independently review the applications without names attached. They then decide who receives the scholarships.
