Private Message notification

A suggestion.

On this site we have a popup notification for PMs. This is fine, but unfortunately one doesn't always have the time or resources at hand to properly reply to a PM when we log on. Many forums have the "Private Messages" tab highlighted until you actually go and read the PM, but ours does not. If you click away the popup there remains no trigger or signal that there is still an unanswered PM. This can be a problem when you can read at work but reply from home.

Is there any chance that we can copy what most forums do, and have the "Private Message" tab highlighted or some other notification remain until we actually read the PM? I've missed some PMs for days because I forget that I have one in my Inbox.

That is a good idea. When we recently upgraded the site and changed the style this function was lost. I think it is still available in the Old_Stle in the top area under Notifications. There is a number beside Notifications if you have PM's.

I will need to look into how we could incorporate that back into the new style since we don't use that area anymore.
