IE loging me out of this site every 10 minutes

Would someone please point to the magic configuration setting that will prevent IE form logging me out of this site every 10 minutes? I don't have this problem in Chrome and it only happens on this site when using IE.

Sorry about your problem Floyd. See the thread just below this one about hacked email addresses, John Waggoners post at the end about googling What is my IP Address. Get your IP address, then go to contacts in the big tool bar above, click for dropdown menu, then click Help Desk.
Once there click Submit a Help Ticket.
Fill in your info including your IP address. John W or Rob M will help you quickly.
The problem is likely IE. Most of us have moved over permanently to Chrome or Firefox to visit NCRS.org. The website is not compatible with Internet Explorer but I cannot explain why. JW can.

I can't tell you for sure why IE is logging you out. I can tell you that it is an issue with your cookie. You might try going to gear in the upper right hand corner. Select Internet Options from the menu. On the first tab that opens click on the button to Delete temporary files, history, cookies etc.

Once you have deleted your cookie when you log back in select the Remember Me option. This will create a new cookie that isn't corrupted. That is the most likely issue. Other than that I can't think of anything else that would cause the problem.

Once again John is correct. EVERYONE needs to remember to delete temporary files,history, cookies, etc. on a periodic basis. This will help ensure every computer that accesses NCRS website has "good" cookies. (VBG)

There's a reason Microsoft is creating an all new and different browser named Spartan in Windows 10 - Internet Explorer is too problematic.

Yep. Deleting my history, cookies, temp files, etc. didn't help. I submitted a ticket with my ip address but I have a feeling the answer is "remember to use Chrome" when accessing this site. I can't figure out why my session times out only on this site and only when using IE.

IP address is only required when you are totally locked out of all NCRS www.ncrs.org and get a blank page.

You can always totally delete and reinstall Internet Explorer to fix your IE problem if deleting cookies and history doesn't solve your IE problem.

Personally, I don't care what a browser's name is, I just use the one that gives the best experience. As I said in my previous post, there's a big reason Microsoft is moving to a new browser in Windows 10.

Run this test on IE and then Chrome and any other browsers and you see which one best supports current website technology https://html5test.com/

Couple of questions that need to be answered. Microsoft did big updates this last two weeks:
1) When did this session loss start?
2) Are you opening or closing any new IE browser tabs when that happens?

There's been a recent history of session loss problems with IE10 after the last couple of months updates. And cookies/browsing history as well. So of the MS links recommend deleting and reloading IE10 to resolve.
