    Site lock?

How do I get rid of the icon ( site lock secure ) that covers what I read and what I type? I can't see behind it and only have to guess what's there!

I don't think that postage stamp logo can be removed by users of the site, like you, and me. It is a part of the security system. To read what may be behind it, just use the scrolling bar arrows right next to and below it. That will scroll the page and you will see everything on the page. good luck, and Merry Christmas!

Adblock Plus will get rid of it.

          Re: Site lock?

SiteLock is a security service we use to help insure that our site is not hacked. Sony should have had a service like this. The logo at the bottom corner of the screen is also to show our users that the site is secure.

The most common thing that happens when a site is hacked is that everyone who visits that site gets malware as a free gift. Once malware has gotten into your system everything will go wrong for you.

The SiteLock logo has been on the site for over a year and this is the first time anyone has objected.

I only noticed it when the site went over to the new format. If it was there, it never obscured any text.

I agree, it wasn't on the screen until the last update. On an iPad, it takes up a lot or real estate and it is distracting.

screenshot from my iPad - SiteLock logo always stays at the bottom right hand side of the page when scrolling down. I use my iPad everyday on the forum and the SiteLock logo doesn't cover over any forum information for me. When you scroll to the bottom of the page the SiteLock logo is on the footer links.

Gary, Don - is "site lock" supposed to be viewable by everyone? Reason I ask, I don't see any "site lock" viewing page currently on my iMac

                    Rick,

I don't have an iMac to compare but it does show up on my iPad. Take a look at Gary's screenshot and you can see it in the lower right hand corner of the page. It really isn't a pop up so I don't think pop up blocker software would affect it.
