1967 Zone 12 dealer 306

Hi,
I just bought a '67 300 roadster and I have the tank sticker, build date June 9th 1967.
I believe that zone 12 was the Buffalo NY area, but can't find anything on dealer 306?

Hi Paul, Dealer Code 12 306 was "Hunt" for Chevrolets Inc. 2290 Delaware Ave. Buffalo,New York 14216. Dealership is closed. Maybe some member from the Buffalo area can tell us more. Good Luck with your 67. Save the Wave.>George

Paddock Chevrolet is the Dealer now at 3232 Delaware Ave. Kenmore, New York 14217. Not sure if he took over the Hunt Chevrolet Dealer. Paddock is one of the High Volume dealers in New York.

I Google mapped 2290 Delaware, now a Verizon store.
I wonder how it ended up plated in Canada in '73? Unlike today, back then it was very uncommon for Canadians to import cars from the US...

Hey Paul: Your '67 300 roadster was built on Friday, June 9, 1967. My '67 300 roadster was built the following week, on June 13, 1967. Mine is: 194677S121593. We must be within a few numbers of each other. Dan

Is it possible that you meant June 23, 1967 as your car's birthday?? Mine is 20830 and was born on June 14, 1967.

Hi Lief... I'm attaching copies of my identification plate. Mine is stamped K13 (as far as I can dope out). According to my NCRS Judging Manual, that's June 1967 and 13 is the day. Most definitely June 13 based on your trim tag. What's curious to me is that my trim tag is K14 yet my serial number is 763 digits BEFORE yours which was built the day before mine. Hopefully, John H will chime in on this or anyone else with a logical answer.

NCRS advises that despite my "June 13, 1967" trim tag data, my car was "built" on June 23, 1967. They added: "General Motors usually dated the trim tag with the date the body started down the production line. That date is not necessarily the date the GM documents show as the official production date of the vehicle. It is not unusual to see a different date on the trim tag versus the official GM documents. The date provided in the Shipping Data Report is taken from the official GM documents for your vehicle."
