Hi Kevin, that's too bad. I'd have driven to that address, you were that close, right? never know what could have come up. Ever have any luck finding anything out about Mason Chevrolet?

What I know is that there were two brothers that ran it in the mid 60's, the son's of each are still in the Kennett Square area, just not responsive to the phone call either.

Just to put a positive note on this thread;

This month had a very positive experience after a 30 year off and on search of contacting two gentlemen in Illinois who owned my 63 back in the 60's. They both seemed thrilled to hear about the car today and we have exchanged pictures of it then and now. They were able to fill in a lot of blanks about the car and also revealed a couple of surprises. I was very nervous about what their reaction would be to a call from a stranger out of nowhere,especially from a different country, but they were very receptive and forthcoming. One of them even went so far as to mail me an unsolicited handwritten 6 page note on what he remembered and a tale of what he and three, yes three, friends did in it one night. The most important thing to me is that I honestly believe that the door has been left open for subsequent calls if I have more questions for them. I have promised them both a copy of the car's history once I get it updated and fully intend to keep that promise.
