Well, after much work by the excellent car detective and the firm start from the NCRS services of document verification and dealer delivery service, I have found the numerous owners of my '67 L71 coupe, save one, the first one who owned it for less than 2 years. After talking to most of the owners, and their memories of the car, it was great to hear all their stories. This car obviously was important to them. I would caution those who start this however, you need to be ready to hear anything and everything about your car, wrecks, repaints, problems, and other things too, some not what you may want to hear or even know, it will all be there. Good luck on all your searches.

Congratulations, Michael. I had a very similar experience with my '65 convertible; having spoken to all previous owners other than the first one. Some things were unknown and revealed, while others had been expected and confirmed. I even received a surprise gift in the mail... the original ignition key sent to me by one of the previous owners! It was an interesting and rewarding puzzle that required a lot of detective-type research and a little luck here and there (both with the Internet and the DMV). I now have a large-binder scrap book of receipts, titles, registrations, documents, photos, etc. that provides a summary of the life of my Vette that can be passed on and continued by future generations (hopefully my kids and grandchildren).

Thanks, I also hope some of the former owners will come up with things from the car I don't have, they said they would look, so guess I will just wait and see.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top
