    Jack Head Chevrolet

According to the NCRS my 1966 Mosport Green Coupe came from Jack Head Chevrolet in Alhambra California. Build date was December 1965. If anyone has possible information on a Mosport Green coupe that maybe you or a friend purchased from this dealer I would be very interested in hearing from you.

Last 3 digits of the VIN is ..295. I am also looking for any old photographs or memorabilia from this dealership to add to my scrap book.

    Thanks
    John

If you have any luck, let me know. My May 67 goodwood green convertible was also sold/delivered there.

Green must have been the color choice. My '66 coupe that came from Jack Head Chevrolet is mossport green. I would like to find the orgnial owner. My car was shipped there around July or August of '66. It is equip with 427/390, PS, PW, A/C, & K19. A rare combination. Would also like to find a Jack Head Chevrolet license frame.

Found following info on GOOGLE search (remember this is your friend!)

The March 1969 issue of 'Drag Racing' has a half page adv. on page 75. It says "The newest and Most complete Hi-Performance sales and service in the Los Angeles area. Stop in and see our sales force. We'll make any deal.

Home of the Mako Shark, Don Cullian and Jim Wetton."

400 West Valley Blvd., Alehambra, Calif.

Their Bowtie crest has the Mako Shark funny car and Hi-performance division under the Bowtie.

There are also eight mug shots of their staff on the top of the page.

This mag has other cool stuff in it. Like the anouncement of the New Berger Hi-Po catalogue, Berger's own 1/2 page Hi-po parts adv., a pic of Dick Harrell's 'Super Camaro' Yenko Funny car sideways on one wheel, an article on the ZL1 engine and a bunch of other cool "stuff".

Anyone whose car originally came from a Los Angeles area dealership : If you will email me at billygould@comcast.net with the production date of your car I will try to send you a digital page or two from the LA Times with an ad from about the time your car was on the lot.It may take a few days or a week due to the holidays but I will be glad to do it. Merry Christmas!
